
Presenting KlimaCampus in the Europa Passage
The KlimaCampus is taking part in the Hamburger Klimawoche (Hamburg Climate Week) from the 20th to the 26th of September in the Europa Passage for the second time. This time the stand will be shared with the German Computing Centre, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and the Climate Service Center.


New in the Office: Dr. Anke Allner
Bright mind found: As of 1 September, the CliSAP Office has a new Executive Director. Dr. Anke Allner comes to us directly from the Jacobs University in Bremen, where she has been active in its establishment since 2001.


New project group investigates Asian monsoon
Scientists of the Institute for Biogeochemistry and Marine Chemistry of the University of Hamburg are now investigating the Indian monsoon climate of the past 10,000 years. The objective is to gain a better understanding and prediction capability based on a reconstruction of past climate.


Mining and Volcanoes: Two new work groups at the Institute for Geophysics
Two new research teams started work at the university in July: The MINE project (MINing Environments: continuous monitoring and simultaneous inversion) and the POMPEI Projekt (Physics Of Magma Propagation: a multimEthodological Investigation) have added to the Seismology Department at the Institute for Geophysics.
