On 23 February the new University President, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Monika Auweter-Kurtz visited the ZMAW to get acquainted with its work in research and education.
First, the Chairman of the ZMAW and Director of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Prof. Dr. Martin Claussen, presented the research objectives of the ZMAW and the proposed Cluster of Excellence "Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction" (CliSAP). After the talk the President visited the German High Performance Computing Centre (DKRZ).
